How our estimating services help you!

Our estimating and takeoff services help builders, contractors, and homeowners accurately plan their material needs. Whether you’re tackling a new home, addition, or renovation, we provide detailed, accurate material takeoffs so you can focus on the build itself.

Our focus is on residential building materials, and we excel at providing estimates for:
New Home Construction
Home Additions & Renovations

To keep our estimates accurate and efficient, we specialize in structural materials and do not quote electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other specialty trades. However, we are happy to connect you with trusted vendors who do!

Frequently Asked Questions about Estimates

Do you provide estimates for electrical, plumbing, or HVAC?
We focus on structural building materials and do not quote electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchens, paint, or specialty trades. However, we’re happy to connect you with trusted vendors who can help!
Do you estimate commercial projects?

Our primary focus is residential projects. While we may review commercial requests, large-scale commercial estimating often requires extensive time and resources. Most commercial builders have in-house estimators, and we encourage them to provide a material list for us to price instead.

Can you estimate a small addition or renovation?

We are happy to help with well-documented home additions and renovations! However, for projects under 500 sq. ft. with limited details, an accurate takeoff can be difficult. If your plans are incomplete, we recommend working with a designer or contractor to finalize specifications before requesting an estimate.

Can you tell me what’s required by code?

Building codes vary by location and are the responsibility of the General Contractor or homeowner. While we can estimate materials based on your plans, we do not determine code compliance. We recommend checking with your local building inspector or an architect for specific requirements.

Can you tell me how to install a product?

For installation details, we always recommend following the manufacturer’s instructions. We work to keep a library of up-to-date installation guides and manuals in-store—ask a team member if you need specific documentation!
